Sometimes my car won’t start. What could it be?

If you’re having a problem with your car not starting, several things may be the culprit. It may also be a combination of things keeping it from starting. To really pin-point what is wrong, the best thing to do is have one of our qualified technicians take a look at it.

* Helpful Tip: If you are experiencing intermittent no-starts, it may be the starter. If you happen to experience one of these random no-starts and it leaves you stranded, before calling a tow-truck, you may want to try this trick…

Locate the starter. It is usually about the size of a soda can and similarly shaped. There will generally be one thick wire going to it along with one or two smaller wires. Find something hard and heavy that will make a good hammer. If your starter is not easily accessible, you may need to find a pole or stick long enough to reach the starter. Have someone turn the key while you bang sharply against the starter (or stick resting on the starter).
